Hi, I'm Arnie Jolo!
About me
I am a graphic designer from Ottawa, working remotely. I have 4 years of experience in the design industry, mostly working on print projects and visual identities.
Currently, I work as a Digital Media Specialist for The Canadian Owners and Pilots Association (COPA), where I delve deeper into digital space through social media marketing and content creation.
I did not have a straightforward path to design. I started out studying psychology then worked and volunteered in diverse, challenging environments. After a year of working, I discovered the world of graphic design and I decided to take a shot at a more creative career. I went back to school to study design and that is what led me here!
Skills
Publication Design
I am the current layout designer of COPA's bilingual magazine, Flight, which is produced bimonthly. I have extensive previous experience of layout design for brochures, one pagers, guides and other long-form publications.
Branding & VisuaI Identity
I've developed visual identities and systems to establish credible, trustworthy brands. My work includes various marketing collateral like roll-up banners, digital assets for websites, business cards and letterheads.
Logo Design
Part of creating solid visual identities is being able to design a versatile, timeless logo. I've created a range of logos for small businesses and dedicated events.
Social Media Management and Creation
I keep an eye on COPA's social media platforms ensuring regular, current information is posted. I am on a new learning curve with content creation that involved designing static graphics and editing short form videos.
